![]() The Brock Duel Set Point Stack Monitor is a solid state electronic instrument used for sensing the temperature of gases leaving the boiler. The duel set point capability of this instrument is factory pre-set (user-changeable) at 450 F Low Alarm . Temperature above 450 F will activate the yellow warning light and an audible alarm. This serves as an initial warning of problems with boiler operation. If left uncorrected and stack temperatures rise to a factory pre-set (user changeable) High Alarm of 600 F, the Brock Duel Point Monitor will actuate the Red Warning Light and automatically shut down the burner . Soaring fuel prices and fuel shortages have made it more important than ever that boilers operate efficiently -that more of their heat output be used to make hot water or steam, and that less heat be wasted up the chimney. The Brock Monitor warns when a boiler is operating inefficiently and wasting fuel- in time to save you fuel dollars. Keeps peak efficiency: A boiler that is clean, properly adjusted and baffled correctly will have a characteristic stack gas temperature. Like a fingerprint, it identifies a particular boiler in efficient operating condition. Problems within a boiler cause the stack gas temperature to change. An increased stack temperature may indicate soot or scale accumulations, a gas by-pass or eroded baffles in a turn around section, a misfiring burner or, on some boilers, rear doors with improperly seated gaskets. The Brock Monitor senses this increased temperature and warns you to take corrective action before fuel dollars are wasted and before there is expensive damage to the boiler. Saves fuel: The Brock Monitor's early warning of increasing boiler inefficiency allows the scheduling of boiler cleaning and maintenance to keep fuel bills at a minimum. Studies show that when soot builds up on the heating surfaces of a boiler, valuable fuel is wasted:
Saves boiler: The Brock Monitor automatically shuts down the boiler if it should overheat. Prevents burnout, overheating and cracking- the causes of most boiler failure. Specifications
